My buddy pulled these out of his fairly unmolested 1969 Charger base model. I've never seen these before. Are they a rare option or just a really good re-cover?

somebody had those recovered a long time ago in my opinion. They look like an old pair of corduroy pants? They are in great shape though!

That's all I can think of. As far as I know there was only once cloth insert option for a 1969 Charger and it looks nothing like that. I really like the cloth because it's hot where I live in the summer and that vinyl gets real hot lol. I appreciate your input.

Customized seatcovers used to be common in the 1970s-80s. There were no resto catalogs with new stock seat covers.  But every town had a Mom-n-Pop upholstery shop.

All 69 chargers came with the identical seat pattern. They were all vinyl except for the front covers on the SE's.

Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

This is actually a plausible explanation.

There was also a cloth insert avaiable in 1969. I have only seen them in black. WINGNUT

My car had well made wrong shade of blue seat covers I ran with for many years. Use them if you got them.  :2thumbs:
