I wonder why they don't put diesel engines in Jeeps? The 3.9L/4BT Cummins would perfect for the Wrangler with great low-end torque for crawling, and they would probably get 25-30 mpg to boot. Combine that with rubber floor mats, crank windows and a removeable hard top that doesn't leak? :2thumbs:

Anyway, back to the topic... look here, I killed my own birthday thread: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,86618.0.html

Good plan but you end up seeing 4 doors on EVERY charger...

For the longest time, I felt there was some "secret/private" section of the forum that had voted all members should not post anymore in a thread once I posted. Didn't matter what I said, even if it was just a statement like "welcome to the board!" I felt like the biggest thread killer in world haha.

They still get under my skin as an irritant... Wranglers were the B-A 4x4s now they are mall cruisers for middle class single people; the 4-doors are mall cruisers for middle class familys. Range Rover is going the same way from B-A 4x4s but now those are mall cruisers for upper middle class people who want to look rich...

My guess is the VAST majority of new Wranglers and Rovers don't even see snow much less off road mud...

I'm not even sure about the new 2 door Wranglers, too much "plush" I would not want to get dirty and WAY too much asking price.  The '95 YJ I had was prime for getting muddy and relatively cheap back in '95. Beat the h#ll outta that bad Jeep in the dirt, mud and hills...

I totally agree.

My mom, in her mid sixties, has a newer Wrangler Unlimited.  She has the doors off of it and stored in a spare bedroom closet.  She has also taken the soft top completely off the Jeep.  It is lifted with ARE wheels and oversized tires.  She also has the chrome tubular front and rear bumpers.  It has never seen rain let alone snow or mud. It spends most of its time in her climate controlled garage.

I own a 2010 Wrangler Sport(cheap?)& bought it to get from point A to B regardless of what the weather may be. However I also don't have a bunch of specialty off road crap hanging off or missing on my Jeep either. The only plans for it are some black Pro Comp 16X8's and 265\70\16 to correct the horrible stock steel rims and space saver size tires on it.

Without getting political, whats your opinion on the Presidential candidates?
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend

He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

If the presidential candidates where suddenly to turn into dodge chargers...... they would have 4 doors and huge mudflaps.

They offered a diesel in the Liberty's for a couple of years.  Didn't sell well enough over here, so they stopped.  Pity.
