1969 Charger Cluster - Rebuild or Replace?

Hey all.  Been away for awhile...   About to bring the old Charger back home after years in restoration and storage.   Last two items: A/C Control Panel and Instrument Cluster.

I'm contemplating a rebuild of the cluster but don't know who I should go to if I choose that route.   It was suggested buying one at an auction would be cheaper, but I'm not too keen on doing that.

Thoughts?

If you choose to do the rebuild on the gauges go with redline gauge works. They do excellent work.

All the replacement clusters are rebuilds anyway. I'd say it would cost you more to buy one that's finished instead of having yours restored.

Got a recommendation for Red Line.   Any "second" or alternate suggestion?

There is a member of this site who goes by lilwendal that was doing them, and for much less than the rebuild shops. Not sure what he's doing now because he hasn't posted in over a year.

Here's his email: lilwendal1@aol.com

Redline x2
:yesnod:

They did my cluster. White face gauges, and an ammeter-->voltmeter conversion.
I had already put white decals on it, and painted the needles orange & polished the lens. Wasn't 100% overly thrilled with the decals, and it had to go out anyway for the voltmeter conversion, so I had them re-do the gauge faces properly. I am very happy with their work.
