I'm restoring my 68 Charger and the original gauges are not working. The dash is in the car, so I'm left with buying aftermarket gauges. I'm looking for pics to see how they look in the car. Anyone want to share?

I have seen all this. But until today, I have never seen such a pain in the ars car like this 68 Charger!

Why not get the originals fixed, probably cheaper then new gauges and saves the fussing around mounting them etc... Everything would be plug and play.

The only benefit I see with aftermarket gauges is better accuracy.

Several examples here for 68-70 to give you an idea of what you'd be looking at assuming your thinking of putting them in the dash instead of mounting other places.  I have a pic somewhere that I mounted 2 in the ashtray area if you want to see that.

Can you post the pic of the gauges mounted in the ashtray? That would be cool to see!  Also, I was thinking of mounting gauges on my floor console shifter panel. Has anyone done that? Any advice on it?

And to answer 440s question, I'm kind of past the point of fixing the originals as everything is mounted in the dash now. I put all the wiring in and don't want to rip the whole dash apart to mount aftermarket gauges or fix the originals. I'm looking for other options.
Thanks for the replies!

This was in the 69 Coronet RT I recently sold.  The plate and gauges fit right in.

I just finished mine. I mounted them under the dashpanel. Thanks for the replies!
