Which type Suregrip is this?, cone type or clutchpack 489 case

Can anyone identify which type suregrip this is?
Need to know if it is a clutch type or cone. it's is for sure a 489 case with 3.23
if it's a cone, I'm gonna leave it alone...........

Okay, so this is a cone?

This suregrip isn't mine but was thinkin about buying.
So I did some reading about 489 and everyone states that a cone can't be rebuild. (if needed)

It's a cone.

They can be reconditioned, but the technique isn't a factory authorized one.

Clutch suregrips came in 741 cases. A 489 will have a cone. Have to cross breed them if you want the 489 / clutch combo.

cone type sure-grip units can be rebuilt but you need a lathe to cut down the cone and add shims on the other side to make up for it. There is a good thread in the moparts archives about this.
