Hello huys, please be gentle on me I'm new here as far as posting. I've been a lurker for well over a year and half i just never posted until my car came out of the body shop. Last april i bought a 74 U code charger 440HP (E86). The has been in the body shop ever since and just came out this weekend. I replaced the original thermoquad as it kept dumping fuel onto my intake. I bought an 650 or 630 elderbrock new and put on it last spring.
Now that I'm able to drive it my gas pedal is harder then a script of viagra to mash, when it goes through the gears it feels like it goes through them very quickly, almost too quickly I think but once in third the whole hood shakes violently and the motor feels like it bogging down (shaking)until i get past 3000rpm's. has anyone ever experienced anything like this before. I swapped put the 355 gear for a 323 but she still feels like she whines out too high....she is taking roughly 3000 at 60-65mph on 14'' ralley wheels....is this sound about right ....please advise.....
thanks mike

Is the kickdown linkage on and adjusted properly for the new carb? Sounds like that is part of your problem. Is the choke fully open?

Did You swap out the Plugs after dumping Fuel into the intake? Sounds like a dead plug/plugs to me.
