Not sure why it is but the sight and smell of them turns my stomach. I've tried them and yams a couple times and it was all I could do to keep them down. :eek2:

Fred

They are just scumptuous roasted with garlic (crusty on the outside and mushy soft on the inside  :drool5: )  and go really well with roast pork.

  I like them with brown sugar but once or twice a year is plenty for me.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

I like them toasted, but they always get stuck in the toaster & it's a pain getting potato pieces off the orange coils.

Mashed is good, so is brown sugar & butter.

My wife just baked a sweet potato pie last night for tomorrow & I was tempted to cut a piece.  :D

I think they are disgusting and repulsive in every way.
I hate them as much as squash and cranberry.

Dino

I like them deep fried...then again I'd like my shoes deep fried as well....

But seriously, I've grown to like them a lot...especially deep fried.. :icon_smile_big:

Baked, mashed, fried as chips or french fries, especially baked and smothered in cinamon and brown sugar and butter - doesn't matter. I like them better than idaho potatoes

I make them mashed with brown sugar, pumpkin spice and butter. Bake them in the oven with marshmallows on top. Other family members eat them.  But I don't .  :smilielol:

w/ marshmellows? Must be a Southern thing? Never heard of that.

Typically just baked with butter on top is good enough for me. But mashed w/butter and fried is good too.

There is a place here called Smash Burger that serves sweet potato french fries. They are killer! I am not a fan of sweet potatoes, but I LOVE those fries!

GordonGriggs

I tried them once. A few years later I got a really nasty ear infection and I could taste ear wax running down the back of my throat. Tasted just like Sweet Potatoes. YUCK!!!

BigBlackDodge

Sweet potatoes are great! (yes, with the marshmellow topping!)
