It almost sounds like a stolen car with a bogus frist ad, then the part it out deal.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Why bother otherwise?  As stated above:  it is a lot easier to simply sell a whole car than try to part the thing out for a few extra bucks.

Maybe I'm just lazy or a little more sane?  :icon_smile_dead:

Just my opinion, but I think the stolen car theory is a stretch. i think that the guy probably is suffering from "I will show them a-holes" syndrome as a result of the nasty emails he most surely got when he originally attempted to sell the car.  Now he has to prove he has the muchismo to follow thru on his "threat" to part out the car if his reserve wasn`t meet. I think if the car was stolen, most semi-intelligent (may not apply in this case)  people would dismantle it ASAP and just sell the non traceable  parts.

I don't know guys, it seems like this is the third or fourth time he has done an auction about parting this car. I think it's all hogwash. I think his reserve on the engine is probably 5K. He is always mentioning how much he wants for the car before he parts it. It's all a scam, and he's probably already on this site reading this thread.

As a wiseman once said...Don't believe the hype.
