supposed to be?

I just got an old sending unit put in, and the rights wires spliced together.
My reading is barely at the first hash mark under the PR.

At some point I will get the right kind of T plumbed in and run a real gauge, but this is what I got for now.

Thank your for any info.

I wouldn't drive it until you test it with a mechanical gauge.

Roger that.  I am getting stuff together to t one and get measured.
I fear my "sticky lifters" may be a bad oil pump.

How many miles are on the motor? It may be more then a oil pump.

this motor has an unknown history.  could be oil flowing past worn bearings with clearances like the grand canyon and nothing but a rebuild would do.
But I really don't want to drop time and money into a 318 NOM to be honest.

A pulled with complete accessories 360 magnum may be the cheapest way to go,
or a better running LA 360.

it is about 20 lbs at the first line under the PR , which is about right for a stock pressure oil pump at idle warm

Thank you.

Got the t adapter and mech gauge in today.  At start I have 20 at idle and easily rev up to 60 psi by 2k rpm.

Warmed up I only have 12 to 15 at idle.

The cars that only have warning lights have switches that turn on the OIL warning light at 6 psi. Using the old 10 psi-per-thousand-rpm rule you're Ok.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
