          WING DREAMS AND PLANS START 40 YRS AGO when i saw New Wing Cars,i was 10.WITH REPLY #21 DOWN  THE  PAGE, :cheers       HELLO,  i have been on here 1year and 1week,time to say hello to all. in my first few weeks here i guess i pissed off a few with my opinions, and i said sorry and layed low for some time. like chop,cut rebuild charger and 1 very nice G_LEE build,,,sorry guys.
  Well in my year here i have read and learned and enjoyed lots of build and find stories and pictures.lots of great cars ,pictures and bout all the people i have had contact with has been great,,bout all ,hahaha.
     with my memory loss it took the extra week to remember and find the new post button,not kidding.in my year i started 2 threads and have like 303 post ,but have spent over 31 days,a whole month on here. love to search and read old wing post and builds. great site and am still enjoying time here,no wing car yet but have had 5 chargers thru the years .have 4 mopars now,2 67 belvederes,1rag and 1 2dr post,,,and 2 mid 70es dart swingers.and 4 other mopars and 22years of parts.have had 35 years owning and driving mopars,lots smiles,afew crashes and cops.
   dartona thread and dream is my only shot now days,to ever own and drive anything close to a wing car.hi,all          OH its the Dartona guy ,yes it Bee me.dj form oregon

 :popcrn:W ell my dartona wing car turned white last nite. it snowed here in springfield,OR AREA THEN FROOZE and now the sun is coming up on my lowbuck wing dartona project on patio.the birds really love the wing too,, to set on and to poop on.

well still looking for a superbird nose cone,have a few leads and plans. plan to get bird nose as i dont want daytona grill and plan to mount lights and air intake under and have smooth upper face to nose.no pop up lights to fight with.     thanks latter ,dj

      WELL MY 2 YEARS HERE HAS BEEN GREAT SO FAR. Learned alot and dreamed alot in 2 years.not the high post count of some but not my goal.

     65 days of my life spent here,over 2 years time,,,wow.  666 postS and afew more to come maybe.


   BEEN  some great threads and some real sad ones of good car brothers passing.well heres to the future and the end of kid support in january,,woo hoo.more money for my bills and cars,i hope????HAPPY  HOLIDAYS  DJ

 HAVE SPENT 66 DAYS OF MY LIFE HERE IN THAT TIME. I THANK TROY FOR THIS SITE AND ALL YOU GUYS FOR PUTTING UP WITH SOME POSTS AND FEW OUT BURST.THANKS TA MODS FOR NOT BANNING ME AFEW TIME,TOO.


   FEW REASONS I HAVE 66 DAYS HERE ARE,,DISABLED AND FORCED OUT OF WORK IN 2001. DEVORCED AGAIN IN 1999 AND PLAN TO NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.AND BETWEEN BACK AND LEG PAIN AND MEDS FOR BLOOD PSI,DONT SLEEP WELL OR VERY LONG . PAIN AND PSI PILLS WILL WAKE YOU AND MAKE YA HAVE TA RUN PEE ALOT,,WELL NOT RUN BUT LIMP FAST.
     66 DAYS,NOW 686 POST,, STARTED 10 TOPICS IT SAYS I ONLY REMEMBER AFEW ,,6 POLLS AND 53 VOTES I CANT REMEMBER WHAT OR WHERE.. HAVE HAD A FEW CUNKUSSION,SP, HEAD BLOWS AND HAVE SOME MEMORY GAPS AND SHORT TERM LOSS. MAY BEE 53 AND BRAIN FARTS.PLEASE FORGIVE SPELLING AND TYPING I WAS A MECHANICK FOR 20 YRS .     WAS 10 years old when Wing cars came to the litha dodge dealer in Medford,or. born in 1959 and lived in very small town 45 miles from anything an all car lots.   folks did trip too medford ever 2 weeks,banking and load the family 59 plymouth wagon to the top with food,7 mouths ta feed. as alway on way out of medford we stopped at dells burgers which was across a chain link fence from litha's back shop area.we usually would go look at wrecked cars setting there.

  WELL to our surprize we see 3 or 4 winged monsters with pointy noses . parked nose to fence and locked in this shop area. we ran over to otherside of lot to get better look and gates were all locked over there too. well we got our burgers and just hung out by fence and drooled and dreamed,what were these wild an different cars . saw them 1  more time than they were gone.
      our town  up the rouge river in the mountains ,only got 1 may 2 TV channels and sunday was church and quiet day .no tv ,no races ever if mom was around. few months later ,my oldest brother got a car magizine with story of wing cars and stock car races. as we lived in oregon we never heard of any of the places or races.
    us four boys shared a small attic ,so called bedroom you could only stand up in few feet of peck of roof rafters.in the winter we would build lots of models and customize the old models.in the spring mom would go nuts with cleaning our room that she only was in if she was real pissed and on warpath again.she would knock all the models off the dressers and sometimes step on them and make us sweep them up and throw them away.because of some dust and made the cheap ass dressers look dirty and cheap?we figured out later it was her family coming to visit and take over our rooms again.    
we would dig them out of trash trailor and hide em in shed or under chicken house.rebuild em or use parts to make custom stuff.by 8 yrs old me an 3 older brothers were all working and buying our own toys and bikes.

    at 10 i did not make much money working for the retired folks around us,like25- 50cents an hour?? oldest brother was 14 and he got 2 69 charger models.he did one and had me do his chores and slave labor for the other. we had a tiny little deck with few draws.mom would even make us empty and throw away the parts and unfinished models in the draws ,so we got to hiding our models in the attic crawl space where she was totally afraid to look into.
   i did the charger ,but in a few weeks i started to dream and plan. made a big wing with popcycle sticks and glue and paint. then asked lady at the wanagan,country hardware and what knot store,if she had stuff to mold and shape. she was very nice and after other people were out of store she spent time showing me stuff that may work.1970 ,small town not much to choose from.   she was great to my dad an us 4 boys,dad got hardware stuff and 2 of us model cars ,1 ships an planes,and dan got matchbox and matchbox size ,linde or linburg plactic cars took few minutes to put together with 2 screws in bottom.
She gave me a dented up can of wood putty and said use it soon as it would just dry up an be no good. so i glued popcycles sticks to bottom of my charger nose and shaped and sanded. then sanded more an more and painted up my dream car.made it black with a white tail stripe,i was so happy i took it down stairs to show off to my dad.  Mom smelled the paint and went nutty again,yelling to throw it out before it stunk up her house.she went off on dad till he took me and my daytona model outside. he got a box in garage and put it up so cats would not get fur in wet paint,so i had a daytona model ,but it was under garage arrest for days till paint cured and we could sneek it back into the attic.mom saw it few months later and tryed to grab it,but i took it and ran,an hide it an me in the woods out back for rest of the day.got beat for running and hiding,but still had my DAYTONA MODEL.

      when i was 10 an made the Daytona model in 1970,my dad got a 59 ply ht and gave it too my oldest brother .it was to be dads backup if 56 dodge pu broke or family 59 ply wagon needed work or grab a part off the 59 htop to keep wagon going. oldest bro was almost 15 bout 6'4'' and skinny as a rail .we came home from sunday drive ,that he was to old and a smart mouth to go with mom on her prefect Sunday Family Drive. well there was all dads gas cans ,even the saw gas,all lined up nice and neat in the drive way and a big empty spot where my bros 59 htop was always parked.  man the shyt hit the fan,mom had all us kids check our piggy banks and look to see if tim stole all our valueable.what a joke we were poor and always had been.i mean so poor in a poor little town we didnt really know we were poor,except two loggers in town we all bee poor.
   he ranaway,made it from prospect,or to salem,or few hundred miles.well the generator was going out and lights got dim an the cops got him. he was so tall they didnt believe 14 and throw him in lock up.called by mom as dad was out looking for the crash site.cop ripped my mom a new one and told her what a bad mom and all her crazyness made tim run away.  life got worse for all us boys and dad as super witch was on her broom now. she made us get rid of all car toys and magizines and said no one gets a car till 16 with a job or 18 an moving out. i hide my Daytona and some of the wing magizine storys way back in attic under the insulation,it stayed there for 2 yrs ,just on the other side of attic stub wall form my bed and i only dared get it out few time in those 2 yrs.but in my mind i had my Daytona and a dream to someday get areal wing car and get the hell out of there. my first mopar was a red 66 coronet 440 ,at,318.oh the 59 htop got sold in salem to the tow guy for 5 dollars.

        Mom was a short mean lady, that hated most everything and noise her 4 boys or my dad did or said.only one she could control her self and be nice to was the youngest and only girl. she resented my dad for moving her to that little town away from her mom and sisters.resented his time spent and that he got enjoyment being pastor of a small town church.my dad was a good and caring guy to a fault.he also had to work full time away from church to supports us.  well in a small town ,ours anyway if someone is helpful they get dragged into everything. dad was on school board,fire and ambulance crews .called on for weddings and funurals and marriage help,before an after,which i found funny as his home and family was a total mess.

    found out years later mom has totally unstable blood sugar and female problems.would stay up till 3 or 4 and sleep in later after us kids gone to school. she alway had boxs an bags of candys and diet rite soda and chips,just for her ,we got yelled at and but beat if we touched any.  at dinner she seemed ok, well she wood eat and then fix food for us so her sugar levels were kinda ok. once in school we only had dinner with her.could not talk at table,or after  if she was watching TV or if her family was there,just say hi and go away. us 4 boys came in for dinner ,then off to room or garage.
finishing 6th grade and almost 12 i was in a bunch of fights and knocked out my older bro sam,beat a old parts car all up with axe and splitting maul,,well mom was afraid of me then and my life got alot better.
