What are these dog dish caps from?

Apparently they are aluminum and factory painted silver.  Inside diameter is 8 3/4".
I would love these on steelies on my '69 although I may strip the paint and polish them.

What did these come on originally?

low dollar,bottom level wheel cover for p,ups and \6 vans  from the 70es.....think lots of them were stamped tin?

Hmmm don't think I can polish tin.....

I do like the style, the outer rim seems to be the same as the redline caps and I like the smooth inner more than the redlines.  Would prefer it to be shiny aluminum though.

Would $50 be too much for that set?  They're not mint, just good driver quality.
