Hi group.  GREAT to have found you!  I wanted to find a place to discus and get info on my car.
I am 100% mopar myself.  1968 Charger, 1990 Daytona, 2000 Ram, 2007 Magnum.
Im here of course about my baby.  1968 Charger 383 4bbl, 4 speed.  I have had this car since freshman year of high school (a LONG time ago).  It is all numbers matching.  It has gone through many restos but now it sits in the backyard needing LOTS of TLC.  I HAD to move it to the backyard because EVERY day I would come home from work and there would be a note on the car wanting to buy it.  I will NEVER sell it.  My wife says she will use it as my coffin and burry me in it :).

I have no recent pics right now.  Only pics taken in the late 80's.  Right now its a rolling chassis.  I will get to it sometime when I can get up some money and some people to help.

The biggest thing I wanted to know is I was told this car is 1 of 259 made.  Can anyone confirm this?  My vin starts with XP29H8.

I will post more pics soon.

Thanks again and im glad to be here

Thanks for all the welcomes.  Its GREAT to finally find a site that people actually welcome you instead of snobbing you.  :shruggy:
So here is my story IF you want to take the time to read it.  I bought this car in RI from the 2nd owner.  Was stock.  Well being a kid back then we HAD to hi pro it and make it flashy, so we did.  It was entered in many car shows and actually won some.  This was before I knew how rare it was.  Back then my dad didnt want that "OLD" car in his garage so it sat outside for years in the snow and rain.  So the body took a hit bad.  The motor was changed out for a 440 policy intercepter BUILT motor. The guy said it would run 11 seconds.... and it did.  Ran for 11 seconds and pushed a rod through the block.  Nice huh.  NO refunds either.  So original motor was cleaned up, painted orange (originally blue) and put back in.  Car again sat in the ellements for a few more years.  then i found a guy to do the body.  He couldnt get the correct color so this awfull blue was put on the car.  It was originally aqua green or whatever that color is.  Crappy body job.  So about 15 years ago I bought a ouse and kept the car there.  I had a friend help me strip it down to start working on it.  Needless to say I havent touched it since.  A couple years ago someone told me the car was rare so I took ALL the hi pro stuff off (dual chrome quads, valve covers, chrome, etc) and traded them for stock stuff to a friend.  I want to go back to STOCK.  HOPE to someday get to working on it.  Anyone wanna help :).
So im sure I can ask here where to find parts and anything I will need when the time comes.  Here are all the pics I could find right now.  I will TRY to find more.  Any comments or questions please ask except if its for sale.   :icon_smile_big:
Thanks again group!!  GREAT to be here

That LOOKS like my original color.  As soon as my WIFE finds where she put my fender tag I will decode the whole car  :brickwall:
(any site or anyone can direct me where to decode it)?

So check this out everyone.  Ill post it on other threads too.  Poor car..... and yes... That IS mine!  No worries, she survived.  Colapsed the roof but a good punch put it back up.  Tore the vinyl top up quite a bit too.

Initiation..... Oh boy... brings me back to my boy scout days... and that wasnt too pleasant :)  heheh.

That happened 8 or 9 months ago.  The shed was destroyed and torn down.  Car is under a tarp right now.  TRYING to clean out the garage to make room for it.  Anyone want to buy some Arcade classic machines heheheh.

As soon as the wife finds where she put my tag I will get to decoding and let you all know more about the car.
