Fan clutch unit rebuild/restoration?

I thought at one time I had heard of someone rebuilding and restoring original fan clutch units for our Mopars. Does anyone know if someone offers this service? If so, who does it and how much does it cost? Has anyone here used one of their rebuilt/restored fan clutches?

i read some time a go there was a guy on moparts or one of the guys knew someone  who done them !! think there was a long wait though

He's done two 070 clutches for me, with no problems.

At what cost? I have two that could be serviced.

Unfortunately, it's been close to 10 years since I had Mr. Oliva do my two fan clutches.  One thing has happened for sure since then, and another event might also affect the pricing of his work:

#1 (the sure thing) - I've come down with acute CRS

#2 (possible) - Fred's prices may not have remained the same


Seems like it was +/- $300 to service a fan clutch, but don't hold me to that or break out the torches and pitchforks to use on Fred.  

Sorry I'm not more help than that.  The only people who get their fan clutches rebuilt are those who specifically want the OEM part rather than its modern replacement which can be had for a fraction of the restoration cost (not to mention the cost if a guy doesn't already have a 070 clutch unit on hand   ).

It's been 10 years since he did mine.  He did a great job, but it took twice as long to get it back, compared to what he had promised me.  He had more work than he could possibly handle at the time.
