My '69 is a column shift buddy seat car. I LOVE the buddy seat so it's staying no matter what. However, I'm getting rid of the column shift for a 4 speed. Buddy seat with a 4 speed :D

Id have to say that if its an auto then I like the console, but with a 4 spd I like the buddy seat more. Don't really know why. Like my shifting action to happen down low I guess.

My car will have bucket seats, buddy seat with the back folded down to rest my arm on, and a 4-speed with no console.  I do not want the console.  I wonder if the Charger was ever offered this way originally or was the console required?

elanmars

console with black interior. however my last car had a buddy seat and i was totally okay with it.

None of the above for $200 Alex.

Yup.  Buckets and pistol grip from the floor = clearly the best combo ever made.

Fred

I'm for bucket seats and console. Never been a fan of column shift.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I prefer buckets with console. But a column shift would be ok to.  Here is another sample

I like the console...    but I am using mine for a lot of storage...    I despise a column shift all together...   NEVER liked them - If I had a buddy seat it would have to be a 4-speed...     my old Boss had a 69 GTX very we put a hemi into...   it was originally a 440 4-speed buddy seat Vert.    :2thumbs:

My car was a buddy seat/column auto but I deleted the column shift and fitted a B@M shifter in front of the buddy seat.
Then I fitted a console over the B&M.
Works better for me as I could never have a centre front passenger anyway and the console has heaps of storage space for CD's, cigarettes and almost any other crap that ends up in the car.
Gotta love a '69

Fred

I don't want to offend anyone but......... column shift in a muscle car...............  :rotz:
There's something wrong with this picture.

Perhaps in this day and age Fred.
But when they were new if people didn't like them they could have optioned their car differently....?

I've always felt that way, and somewhere before we talked about it and some people ( most that have a column shift ) are offended.

I have a 1st gen so I'm naturally a console and buckets man. I haven't had a buddy seat but if I had a 2nd gen I may prefer a 4spd and buddy seat.
