hi;
I have a original 318 engine in a 69 charger. I try to keep everthing original but I have had it with this carter carb.
its a rebuilt new one from autozone. It floods the engine and i have fuel on top of the intakes. Who do you suggest that I can go to, to purchase a brand new holley 2 barrel carb for my 318? Someone honest and knows his engines?
thanks.

I would suggest getting a new needle & seat and find someone who knows what they are doing and replace it inside the carb.

With this being a freshly re-built carb. I would say it sounds like either a:

1) leaky float
2) something stuck in your needle & seat assemblies.
3) improper float adjustment

make sure you use a good fuel filter. I see a lot of folks put on these Auto Zone/O'reilly refillable filters that are nothing short of a gravel strainer. bad idea! send it to me & I will check it out for you.
