Original white car by the fender tag.It was black when we got it .It was automatic console buckets.Andy also had a 69 Charger he left in NY and had a 69 GTX ragtop in Houston. He had the 1 st superbird I ever bought in his driveway. When I met him.He sell me the superbird. If I could find him a 68 Charger RT.I found some in town he didnt know of.But I gave him the info on the PA car his birthday was was near. His mom and 2 plane tickets came knocking on my door. And the guy from Car Village brought us to the lot.And we were off back to Houston with it in less than 29 hours.

Charger RT

In 1980 when my brother bought his 68 R/T (now my R/T) I gave him a ride from Philly to pick the car up. We picked it up not far from Car Village. The first place we went with the R/T was car village. They looked it over and offered him more then he just paid for it or even more if we bought something. If we had more money we might have left with a superbird they had. We looked at a bunch of cars that day. But we ended up leaving with his 68 and my 69 charger.

Charger RT

this thread is making me feel a bit old. Car village was a great day in my life. First by driving my brother to buy my future charger. Second to take it down there right after buying it to see so many muscle cars on one lot. If I remember right there was a nice straight road right behind the place to let one rip.

Thanks for showing the pictures. There are many times I wish I would have taking my camera that I didn't. Car Village was one.

That's great!  As cool as it is to see the old school pics of the car, I got a bigger kick out of checking out the hair.

@ Charger RT, do you remember the asking price of the orange superbird at car village when you were there? just curious, i own the car. Any other info you know of on it? :shruggy:

Charger RT

I don't remember if it was orange. It was so long ago it could have been a Daytona or Superbird. It was a great day with many great cars to see. I do remember it was column shift from the back seat. I believe they wanted 5k to 6k for it and offered us 3500 trade in on the 68 R/T we just paid 1000 for. But again that was a 2 hour memory 32 years ago I could be remembering things off.
