Looks like the SRT group is ready to release a couple new models.
0-60 in high 4's and quarter mile in high 12's, not bad. Just wish the Charger Super Bee had 2 doors like it should.....

"The Yellow Jacket name comes from the 1970 Challenger with the 426 Hemi option. It came in a color called Honey Gold and had the same Scat Pack performance features of the Super Bee."

The Yellow Jacket later received a new front end, and was renamed the Dodge Diamante.....Which Steve J has (I believe he still has).

So it was strictly a concept?

Yes sir!  It was actually built using the very first Hemi Challenger convertible.

if all the super bee stuff was on the challenger 2 door ,,,i would buy 1 in a heart beat----------------but they put it on the fat praggnut 4 door , so call charger thing with that ugly truck grill :RantExplode: :slap: :slap: :D :D

bull

Soooo, I don't get it. :shruggy: The Yellow Jacket treatment was for what was basically a Challenger, and Chrysler is currently building Challengers so why would they put this on what they are calling a Charger?

Agreed. New charger looks terrible with those badges. At least the new Challenger looks somewhat similar to the original. New charger just looks like another blah sedan...just like Pontiac brought out the new GTO and it looked like a big bulky honda accord.

There's a new Charger?  Are you kiddin' me?  I hope it doesn't look like that wanna be Camaro concept from years ago.  Any pix of this Charger you speak of?

It's an urban myth. They talked about building one but then came out with something quite unlike a Charger but still used the name. Now they just keep putting different decal configurations and badges on it trying to hide the ugly. :nana:

Isn't there a another forum/website for the new/current "Chargers"? (rhetorical question)

Seriously!

They are not putting the yellow jacket name on a Charger. They are putting Super Bee name on Charger. Like they did for one year only in 1971. LEON.
