Sorry Tufcat, but I have to rain on your parade pal.  Nickelback is major stinktown today as they were 15 years ago.  And while I wish the Lions the best, the Pack owns the NFC.  You're in a steep uphill battle bud.  I'm a Giants fan and I've already owned up to that, we play them the following weekend.  I will say there is nothing better than football on Turkey day, and any game on the holiest of all holy football days is a great game to watch!  We are one week out from the best football day of the year, and I'm pumped.  BTW, yes I consider T-Day better than the superbowl, it has 3 games instead of one, and most of all, it has turkey!

Nickeback isn't the best but better than having some baggy pants thugs jumping around on stage. Also better then having the molester Jackson or his nipple bearing sibling out there. They should have a classic rock band out there doing it. But I'm just an old fart in the crowd..............IMO!

Its kinda funny...some of you guys are going "oh, but don't be ignorant..you DONT know Nickelback...listen to the rest of their songs, not just what you hear on the radio. By the way, ALL rap sucks".

Does it really matter?  It's a social outing, and most people use it as an excuse to get piss drunk.  Speaking as someone who doesn't drink, but used to a little, I can't see anyone really remembering the band so long as they have their beer.

About Queen.  Not to start any fights but.............bohemian rhapsody?  Really?  "We will Rock you" is good, only problem is they always play "we are the champions" afterwards.  I'd rather listen to the re-make of "We will Rock you" by Warrant.

I realize that's probably a very unpopular statement.  THAT I DON'T LIKE QUEEN!  Most of their stuff I'm sure.  Actually that just shows what good artists they are!  Being able to move me like that and all!

If Nickelback is going to perform at half time I think I will watch the game.
I like Nickleback, one of the better modern rock bands and you can at least understand what they are saying.

I even pre-ordered thier new album which should be release tomorrow.

As far as Nickelback goes, I am not a huge fan of them but I like some of their songs. There are MUCH worse choices in rock music these days. At least they don't play that growling crap that sounds like the Cookie Monster singing along to a broken garbage disposal with a spoon caught in it. At least the guys in Nickelback can actually sing and play their instruments well, even if their songs do tend to get redundant.

Just a thought Ponch...Ain't you from L.A...You won't be anywhere around Detroit anyway. :nana:
However, Being that Detroit is kinda dark (no offense), I am suprised that some rap group is not performing.  I could care a less anyway, during halftime all we get is commercials. :Twocents:

Poncherello, if the Lions beat the Packers...it will be a miracle!

It'll be a good game if the Lions can score points and make it interesting. They do have a good defense and a really good quarterback.  :shruggy:

I wish Bon Jovi, Journey, and maybe a fun counrty bad/group like Brooks & Dun, or Alabama, etc   would do the Super Bowl! Something for everyone, fun clean music by "actual artists" that keep their clothes on!   :Twocents:

Do you have the Justin Beiber, tooth brush, too? There should be a new DC.com poll to vote you off the message board. Remember, clean teeth doesn't always promote good taste.
