Eh, they let the Black Eyed Peas disgrace themselves during the Super Bowl so why not? All those events try to grab whoever is hot at the moment - irregardless of history or tradition. Of course, I don't follow any Detroit sports and I doubt I'll be watching football on Thanksgiving.

If you ever watched Hardcore Pawn, the show gives a perfect example of why Detroit is how it is.   This show mocks the pity of how this city is, yet most look at the show at surface level.

Oh well, I thought this was an actual football thread, I was thinking W-T-F why would you stop someone from using a nickle back defense...LOL... Never even heard of the band, sure if they are playing on the Thanksgiving Lions vs Packers game, I will see them or hear them, maybe even mute the TV who knows, I listened too a bunch of 70's rock back in my youth, AC/DC, Molly Hatchet, Leanard Skinner, Kiss, Cream, Clapton, Van Halen, Sammy Haggar, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Ozzy & the likes, Golden Oldies mostly now or don't listen to much any more, not any good stations here in Sonora area...  Most of the "stuff {notice, I didn't say music} on the radio nowadays, is crap", in my opinion...

See, that's exactly the problem with Nickelback: the fact that you middle aged guys like them (no offense to middle aged guys). But that's why they suck: they're a "rock band" (I use the term under protest) that's milquetoast and generic enough for 'old' guys to safely rock out and feel like they're keeping up with current music scene while avoiding heavier, edgier fare like Mastodon or Gojira. And you know what they say: if your parents like it....

Hey don't knock Detroit . . . . even though we have the highest murder rate in the country . . . it's not because we have more crime!    It because we're better shots! 


As for Canadian . . . who cares.  You can send RUSH down here anytime you want as far as I'm concerned.   As for Nickleback . . . I think they have a couple good songs but most of them do sound the same.

I actually saw Nickleback in concert about 5 years ago and thought they were pretty good...Puddle of Mud opened for them...for the record I WON the tickets...

A talk show did make a point on this petition; these guys sold MILLIONS of copies of thier albums and nobody acknowledges they like 'em.

funny you say they suck. but last time i checked. EVERY SONG HAS BEEN A HIT. not my favorite band but when you write a song and it goes gold. YOU DONT SUCK. they had the black eyed peas last year and that sucked, THERE NOT EVEN A BAND. THERE JUST A BAD KAORKE PROJECT. i guess the question would be who do you think should play. please dont tell me some fucked rapper. as for me i would like to see a metal band. but that will never happen. and cant stand pop music or country. nickle back would be perfect for the show. there pop radio rock and are crowd frendly.  and doubt they will flash a boob or do someting stupid and why not have a canada band play americas game. so again tell me who doesnot suck to you. then we can judge your taste of music.

heyman got your cure. when half time show starts. turn off the volume and put on ikillya. jason is a member and has a AWESOME metal band. if you want freash metal then this is a good band. really if your a metal head then check them out. ikillya.com. keep it metal and mopar at the same time.
