I wonder how long this will last....

The original members of BLACK SABBATH - guitarist Tony Iommi, singer Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward - announced their reunion today (11.11.11) at Hollywood's Whiskey A Go Go.

A special video was created to mark the event which states that the band will be releasing their first new studio album in 33 years (since 1978's Never Say Die!). Rick Rubin (SLAYER, METALLICA) will be producing. The band will be headlining the UK's Download Festival on June 10th, 2012 with a world tour to follow.

I was a fan of Black Sabbath back in the 70's, still can't understand Ozzie when he's talking, his singing is easier to understand... I think it may be a good album... :shruggy:

They reunited in 2005 for the introduction into the rock & roll hall of fame Curtis. But that was all that was for.

Mike, they are planning a tour also.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

When I was 17 I probably wore out  4 copies of "Master of Reality" while cruising in my 1966 Dodge Charger.

Speaking of Sabbath, has anyone checked out Tony Iommi's autobiography, "My Journey Through Heaven And Hell With Black Sabbath?" I thumbed through a copy at Barnes & Noble the other day and it looks like an interesting read. I have it on my Christmas list. ;)

yeah, Tony's the MAN! a real honest, down to earth kinda cat. he's my biggest influence in wanting to play gee-tar years ago. bein' a fellow South paw, I realized I wasn't alone.
