Hello,

I have a 1969 Charger with a 440 "period correct" block.

Could someone tell me where I can find the date code on the block to determine exactly what year it was made???

Thanks.

looks at casting date on side of block  first picture !!

second picture  on the top pad ! should say  E 440   , the E being  model year 1969

check for whole or partial vin on a machined pad ! above the oil pan rail , where yellow arrow is pointing  !!

if it starts with XS29 ?? can you post the vin  long shot  :yesnod:

Thank you for the info.

Is there any particular area on the side of the block that I should look for the casting date???

Thanks again.
