It's a little rough, but very restorable. I took more pics, but they came out very blurry. Looks like a T7 w/tan interior. 4spd and dana tucked underneath. I wish I had space for it...shame it's just sitting there.  :'(

69charger2002

oh my gosh. look at the tan interior!! lol was it for sale??

If you are not going to buy it, I'd be interested in talking with the owner.  Can you help with putting me in touch Chris?

My R/T SE is coded T7 and it looks NOTHING like that color, but rather more T5...  weird...  The paint I'm seeing is in the trunk and rear deck...  even under hood...

Next time you see it, can you look at jambs, and trunk, to see if it was re-painted?

I bet you would find space for it if it was about one year newer.  :D

Was it actually for sale or is the owner going to fix it up someday?  :-\

So what are the details on this car?  Is it for sale?  Looks like just the project I've got in mind...  Make it run right, drive it as is for a while...

Chris G.

It's a cool car for sure. It's also stripe delete, but that's old news on a '69.

Just to reply to some...

Trav, do I need to resend the email? It basically asked for any '70 info you have on file. You can reach me at admin@1970chargerregistry.com

Shakey, nothing is concrete on this car. I hopefully will have some better info in the next few days for you guys.

Jude, If everything goes right, I will have pics of everything you need.

Ty,  :icon_smile_approve: If it was a '70, it would be a hard night of sleep. I have a tough enough time trying to rent one garage. I need a smaller house and bigger garage.

Danny, It's been sitting a while, but I'm sure it wouldn't take much to have it driving.

69charger2002

well i got first dibs if he doesn't get it. all i have to do is find that 70 VIN and fender tag info. now where did i put it.. lol i'll get with you tomorrow. i'll make a list of info

Sounds like you guys out east have a tough time finding room. Real estate out here is not so bad I guess. If needed I will gladly store your '70 if you want to make room for that '69......heck, I might even come pick it up. Keep in mind I have heard it is not good to store cars for a long period of time without driving them so I will take care of that for you too.   :drive:  :icon_smile_wink:

Take my '70 so I can store a '69? Have you lost it man? If anything, that '69 would be sitting in the driveway collecting snow.  :P

Nice car, I imagine he's going to want at least 15k  :shruggy: Trades? '70 V code car? Gimme 35k and the car. :D

"Take" has such a negative connotation....I still prefer the term "store".  ;)

Chris!!!!!! CALL ME SOMETIME TOMORROW ABOUT THIS CAR!!!!!!
I know where this car came from, I used to see it in the mid-80's or so in Union, NJ parked in the original owner's driveway. It sat in the same spot for years on end, supposedly the owner was a mean old guy who absolutely refused to sell no matter who came to the door, money or not. This car sat for at least 20-25 years or more, I used to drive past it almost every day. Then, one day it was gone. I MUST know where this car is.
Yes, RT/SE 4-spd stripe delete, black top with a tan interior. Call me.

It looks pretty clean for a right coast car.  Unless the back half's a different story, I imagine the back half is tarped for a reason, leaky back window.  Cool that they tried to keep water out of the trunk.  Look at the woodgrain on the dash, even that looks good.  I bet it's quite the looker all done.  With it having a black top, I bet it looks sharp.
A SE with nothing noticeably SE-ish.  No AC, power windows, cruise.  It does have the woodgrain, car wouldn't look right w/o it tho,IMo.

You guys lost out now tho, Bill's hot on the trail.

Buy it Chris and trade Travis straight for the black '70 RT his wife wanted.

Guys, just to let you know, this car sat in the same spot in front of the original owner's house for YEARS on end, with wheel chocks front and back (there's some in Chris' pics, too). Story has it, the old man refused to talk to anyone about this car no matter who came to the door. All offers were refused.
I saw this car several times a week sitting for at least 20 years, maybe more. Then one day, it's gone. A body shop I was visiting down the street said they saw it going by one day on a flatbed. Where it went, only Chris knows now. If it's still in the family, or they moved, or whatever, the old man probably doesn't want to sell. On the other hand, if the guy finally let his prize go, I'd be curious to find out and if it's available. This car has ALWAYS been "the one that got away" for me.   :'(

good looking car. Definately isn't a basket case, and could easily be turned into a driver. Gotta love the 4 speed too. Thats what I want a 4 speed driver car, only I want it to be a 500 not an RT/SE. Yeah I know I'm picky.
