I just rebuilt one of my 500" motors. it lasted over 10 years, but it was getting tired.
specs:
indy 295 sr,s
comp solid roller 272/276 @.050 .650"
t&d i.6 rockers
mopar 337 intake with a 1000 cfm 4150
12.75 cr
this is in a four speed car with a 3.55. it,s the best running one yet....

it made a best of 718 hp@6700 and 653 tq@5300. it liked 38* timming.

Looks like a great combo what is this beast in, with 12.7cr, I'm thinking it must be a track car, or running methonal, alcohol, ethanol, E-85, Gasahol or some mixture of it, if on the street, racing gas would be a pain in the butt on the street for sure...  Just curious...

this is an awesome combo. i have two more just like it. it is very streetable, and a blast to drive.

this one went in one of my 70 cuda convertibles. it,s a street car. i dont know what it will run in the 1/4, my track wont let me run it to see.

i use race gas in all of them. theese wedge motors love the comppression  :icon_smile_big:

Nice Job Brian !  :2thumbs:

That's excellent power for a 500in build with moderate compression.

Impressive for sure, What race fuel are you using ?, I'll bet that's a pain in the a$$, to get race gas for all those cars, especially for street use... Probably kind of pricey too, it's a pain here were I live you need to go 100 mile away to Modesto or Sacramento to get any racing fuels, it's not realistic for me here in Sonora Ca., I end up building 11:1-11.5:1 motors for most of mine now because of the fuel hassles on street cars here, even then I will do blends sometimes....

Good power, few people can claim that much. Fewer still can back it up like you can.

i use sunoco 110. there is a gas station about 15 min. from where i live. i take a 55 gal drum and all my cans there about 3-4 times a year. i just filled up and it was $7.49 gal. not too bad. i spent about $500. this will last me all winter. i remember when that stuff was $3.00 a gal.........

thanks ron. this one runs the best. my last one i did, made the same power, but with 1.7 rockers, indy 440-2 w/ a 2" spacer up to a dominator.

this one made it with 1.6,s and a 337 manifold with a aed 1000cfm 4150. i had to replace the cam in this one, due to corrosion. the grind and part no. was the same, but the grind was updated. we also spent alot more time port matching and cleaning up the manifold. it was worth about 16 hp. my other one made 692 with the 337 combo.....

i'm starting my next one now. it,s for my 68 fastback cuda. it will be :
588-604  4.625 or 4.750 have not decided on that one yet
b1 mc,s
13.5 cr
indy aluminum rb block, i already have that, and it looks awesome....
i will post pics and updates,as i progress....

That's not too bad, I remember when it was allot cheaper to get racing gas we went to a ERC Station pump & would fill our cars with 104-116 oct. heavy or light fuels, for $3 -$5 a gallon, but that was many years ago now, they closed his pumps down because of govt. reg shit... Still could get it just not a drive up pump any longer, I wish there was a closer supplier to were I live, it's a pain in the a$$ for me...
