Need help with aligning fenders on my 68..

How much of a gap should there be between the fenders and the grill on a 68 Charger?  About a fingers width?   The body shop just called and they need to know today..

If the hood is on and the fenders to hood gaps are aligned properly and the front valance is on and tight, then the grile should be centered. That's as good as it gets.

It depends on the condition of the fenders.

If they are rust free and in good shape the gap should be about 300 miles. Approximately your place to mine. 

Seriously, I checked mine and there is a 1/2" gap measuring from the C trim edge to the fender on each side. My '68 has never been apart.

PT, I was at the auto body shop last night where my Charger is at and I precisely looked at all the gaps in my Charger and mine were in the 3/16" - 1/4" range. My body guy asked me to look at them to see how even all the lines were. He is ready to take doors, hood, truck, etc.. off to start on the inside surfaces. I was impressed to say the least!!
