Hey Mike !!! Man, it was nice seeing you and Mike Jr. on the show.... I grabbed Jacob and asked him, "Hey, don't you remember Mike? He was at Talladega with us chatting in the staging area."............ He said, "Dad, nope"...... hahahaha.. I have to remember, Jacob was only 4 years old at the time..

I guess I was more pumped up seeing you on TV... Not as pumped up as Mark's going to be on your return.......  :icon_smile_big:

Good going there.... So tell me the truth, how many "takes" did it take?  :smilielol:

First off, thanks Stewart we had a lot of fun.  And Troy, I make that same mistake all the time with my son, asking him if he remembers something from 20 years ago and realizing he is ony 17.  lol   Believe it or not, we did it in one take.  Well... kind of.  I was half way through telling my story the first time when the camera man stopped me and informed us that we had lost audio and I needed to start over.  so, the footage  you see is the second take and by that time, I did feel a bit more nervous and seemed as though I was picking and choosing my words instead of telling the story as  I normally talk.  We were being filmed for about 40 min and I see it was trimmed back to about 6 or so.  All in all it was a great experience.

Congrats on the air time and all that stuff.  :2thumbs:

You really have a pretty cool story to share with the car world.

When it's all completed it would be cool to make a DVD of all the coverage, history and restoration.

Enjoy

Mike, very cool!!

I missed the earlier show so stayed up late the other night to see it.  VERY VERY COOL.  Something that you and Mike JR will never forget.  I'm sure JR's is a celebrity with his friends now.

Can't wait to see the cars and meet you live one of these days.  :2thumbs:

Congrats!
The story on the 'Birds and the interview was the best part of the entire show. In fact, it was the only part worth not fast-forwarding through!  :icon_smile_big:
I was glued to the TV during that time only. It was great hearing about your passion for the cars, the determination for them, and the father/son relationship.  :2thumbs:

Like that power steering cooler.

I love how the previous owner used a screw into the forward-lower valve cover with a nut to secure it.... Mike, you are going to put that back, no?  :icon_smile_big:
