Here's a few of the owner reunited with the his red superbird. Michael and I have become close friends with him over the years, and we have lunch/dinner at least once a month. We ALWAYS make it a point to get him a nice gift at Christmas time and Drop it off by his house. * he recently attended a "pig Pickin" at the house as we celebrated a early family Christmas dinner. He was tickled to see this car finally home. ( he knew, how long we had this car at the first restore's shop...heck, he even made a trip or two with me to check on its progress.). Keep in mind, although he owned this car since 1974 he never got a chance to drive this one /..... remember he bought this one out of a junk yard in1974 to use as a parts car for his white bird. ( he said he paid 700.00 for it from the junk yard.)

Look for some video coming (via a link Ill post) of him driving this Hemi bird on a short trip down our street

after taking a drive in his/our red bird, I took a few pics of the "OTHER" car I had a chance to BUY, But couldnt at the time. ITS a TRUE J CODE 68HEMI ROADRUNNER with 11,000......not a typo ....11000 original miles. Harry used to drag race this car ....so he says ..its a 11000 miles.....but 1/4 mile at a time.

That is a NASCAR valve cover on the Road Runner; at least the one on the driver side.

Cool...ill have to ask harry about that....I know he still has the original intake.
but that "RAT ROASTER" looks cool on it.

Another cool story Harry told us was he had a chance ....back in the 70s to buy the Daytona driven by Chuck Neely. (Both Chuck and Harry raced back at Blaney dragstrip back in the day.... Harry said it could been owned for $1500 less engine and tranny. ...there is a thread on here about Chucks car....too cool I thought.

Mike, tell Harry Merry Christmas for me.  I stopped by his place this summer to say hello when me and Lynne was looking at the Challenger I bought from the guy across the road from his house.  She still mentions about when we got the pears from him and asks if I ever heard how he is doing.  Congrats on the getting the work done on the Bird.  Sure looks different than when we saw them parked.

Will do David. Good to see you on here. Hows your bird coming?

Thanks Mike   Other than a few things here and there my project unfortunately has been on hold for the last couple years.  A lot happened with renters and my rental homes getting trashed, taking care of and then losing both my parents and having to settle the estates and the list goes on. Just no time for it.  Hope to get back on it soon as I need a good stress relief distraction.  When did Harry move the RR from under the shed?  I'm sure he was happy to see his car.
