So I was driving home tonight and it dawned on me. I have a 69 dodge charger, 68 chevy wrecker tow truck, and a 76 ford f100, only thing missing is the old cj and I have the whole hazard fleet. Not sure if the truck and the tow truck are exact but close enough and it was by accident. Does anyone know the make and model of cooters wrecker ?

Forget the Jeep. Get a yellow '71 Roadrunner.

Great idea but go with purple and white stripes/interior.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Cooter had a early Chevy for a while a 69-72 and then he had a yellow Ford. Also its Hazzard not Hazard

Actually, in the first episodes before the "Dixie" Jeep, Daisy's car went from 1971-1974 Roadrunner/Satellite.

That's the 71 or 72 for sure there... I watched allot in my teens, many many moons ago, I'm just a casual fan of the show, not really a diehard fan, I remember the show & watch reruns at late night sometimes on CMT or Spike or whatever channel it is, "It pisses me off every time they munch/wreck another Charger", you see them buckle every time, after they jump, when they land... I catch a bunch of changes all the time in the show, I've seen the 71-72 & a 73-74 RR & a number of different cars, Jeeps & trucks, that seem to change from time to time, like I said I'm a casual fan not an expert that's for sure....

Since this is a DOH thread, Folks seem to always tell me "I can't believe as hard as Chargers are to find today, they tore up THOUSANDS in that show!"
When I explain that in 7 years, the show tore up something like 300 Chargers.
What was the total production in 1968
1969?
1970?
Like close to 180K Chargers? Really? 300 is so bad?  They tend to forget about the ones that are sitting in backyards rotting away waiting on a sucker, ones that were totaled while drunk/racing/etc., ones that are hoarded away in some storage facility awaiting the same sucker with $$, ones that were crushed due to lack of buying public at junkyards back in the late 70's, etc.....Just funny to me that's all...

I know it was 13 plus episodes a year & a couple of Chargers every episode probably, I shouldn't say it pisses me off, more like there goes another 1 wrecked, I still have a soft spot about all the cars wrecked.. It's just me I guess, I like the Chargers allot better than the show, story lines & actors really... Except for Daisy of course...

The show often aired 22 or more new episodes each year. 147 in the entire series run.

Deffinatly have to get the road runner, I remember seeing a cross ram max wedge in that thing at some point, That wrecked one had a four barrel so must of been another one. I'll try to get a pic today of the fleet.

jaak

Yellow Roadrunner/Satellite...
In the first 5 'Georgia' episodes, it was a 73/4 Roadrunner (I can't tell which just by looking). When production went to California they were 71's, Satellites I believe (can see the dash emblems in several shots), with RR stripes. I have looked while watching old episodes and have yet to spot a 72, but I could be wrong.

Also I guess u notice sometimes Jesse's Truck is a SWB, sometimes a LWB. I have also noticed sometimes the LWB will be 3/4 ton pickups, sometimes 1/2 tons. A lot of inconsistancy with the vehicles on the show.....Don't even get me started on the Charges, lol.
