There was someone, I thought here that was doing these, anyone remember the post or who?

It's probably easier to install one of these. Just have to trim a couple of corners. More effective cone surface than the dual 3 1/2s. Cheap too. Got one in my 72 RR.

Yeah, I saw that.  Problem with that set up is it is ONE speaker. Which means the output at some point has to be combined, no matter what they say. Many radios don't like that.  I definately want to go with 2 speakers even though separation will be nill, that isn't important.
Suppose it wouldn't be that hard to make one ... doesn't look like brain salad surgery!

One speaker, but two separate coils driving the same cone. Your not combining channels (electrically anyway).

nice idea, dual coil one speaker assembly!!!

but I don't think will fit on a 3rd gen, not at least with mods on basket mounting, will need to cut some of the outer frame. AND STILL maybe the mounting locations on outer points won't be easy to fit

Only minor mods required to the speaker on my 72 Roadrunner. Check out the thread over on Roadrunner Nest for more details:

I've fabricated 3.5" speaker adapters before, and I'd say the installation of the 4x10 DVC speaker was MUCH easier.

Talk to this user.  He had some that another member had bought and said it fit very good.

Here's  a link to a Mopar guy on the A Body website that makes them for a lot of cars. Also, many different speaker options. Give him a try.

Wow, my bracket sure does look nice sitting in that dash (if I say so myself). :icon_smile_big:
A big "thank you" to you guys who have bought one from me for your projects.  I especially appreciate all the interest and discussion - and the kind remarks.
The two dash speakers were a good solution we found for my son's first car, his '74 Dart Sport.  I thought it might be a viable alternative for other years and
models, so I developed a series of brackets for all A, B, and E-body Chryslers, as well as some Ramchargers and vans.

As I suspected in the beginning, they have been very popular with you folks who just can't force yourself to hack up your doors or kick panels.  As noted in
other posts, the two speakers give a slight "stereo" effect, allow you to upgrade your radio to modern equipment with two front channels, and provide you
the opportunity to select the speakers of your choice from a large variety available, both in price range and size (3.5" or 4").

You guys have some fantastic cars, and I'm very proud to be able to provide a piece of the puzzle.  For any of you considering using one of my brackets, but
you still have questions, please send me an e-mail or a PM.  Of course, if you are ready to order, you can GO HERE to send me the necessary vehicle, shipping,
and payment preference information.  Either way, I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks again,
Jerry
