Considering welding a 1 inch inset box for the side markers. Is this ever done?

I have seen it done or you could cut in the 71 side lights

Graft in 71 lights or do what I'm doing and shave them.

ALOT of the Cuda/Chally guys do tis very thing..Looks ok I guess, but IMO if your gonna have flush mounted side markers, I prefer the original flush ones as mentioned above.
