There's no top on it. Ain't there.

Maybe the interior headliner is Gator.

Vehicle location says Whiting, NJ. Sure ain't seen that thing cruisin' the streets of NJ or at any local shows/cruises around here that's for sure.

I don't know, but if it is a numbers matching 426 hemi engine. would it really have power brakes , power steering and factory ac? :shruggy:

VIN says it's a 69 and the car has a loop bumper.  Pictures remind me of a die-cast model.  Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm guessing the factory A/C, power brakes and steering are all from the 318 car that was the base of this build. The description mentions a factory 4-barrel carburetor and intake...I thought there were two factory 4-barrels on a Hemi.  :scratchchin:   :icon_smile_wink:

My Godfather told me a story about a car that he had for sale, a long time ago. It was parked in front of his house, and had a for sale sign in the amount of $25. A man came by and couldn't believe it. "Only $25?" My Godfather said yes, that is what he wanted. Money changed hands, and the new owner sat down to start the car. When it wouldn't turn over, he asked my Godfather for a push down the hill so he could bump start it. When that didn't work the new owner opened the hood and found out that the engine was missing. Naturally he was a bit upset.    My Godfathers reply was "what did you expect for $25?"

Maybe they can't open the hood. You know, a remote control security lock hood that they f'd up, and now can't open the hood.

Ebay shows vin as XP29G9B340. No plate on dash. Someone tell me if I'm wrong, isn't that "G" a 318 in a 70, and a 383 in a 69?

Is the car in Jersey or is it in Arizona?

The AZ ad says SEMA car. Has it ever been seen before? Anywhere?

What a wreck of an ad.

Good question. Yep, in '69 a "G" designation meant a 383 2-bbl while in '70 it meant a 318. I wonder what year it really is? Maybe it is a chimera?  :eek2:

I don't mind the exterior although the interior isn't exactly what I'd call a thing of beauty.

Remember though, the car will appeal to someone. I'm sure someone in the world wants a resto-mod charger and there is no way you could build that car for 20K, so in reality the car is quite cheap to someone interested in it. I also don't agree with the false advertising about a numbers matching hemi or gator grain top. At least you'd have some argument to pull out of the ebay deal.

I have decided that *MOST* of what is on eBay, is not what it appears...  :flame:

Take this one:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-69-Dodge-CHARGER-SE-R-T-clone-440-Big-Block-Engine-BEAUTIFUL-restoration-/130586527130?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e6790459a#ht_2755wt_1167

"Sold" for $28,800, or within $200 of what is claimed to take to buy the car... But it's for sale again this week, as it's been for sale for much of the past year...

Love the 99-cent bungee cord used to hold down the battery... On a $30k Charger, really??  :scratchchin:

Here's this week's ad:

That's my Charger, thanks.

Are you perhaps aware that there are a lot of deadbeat buyers on eBay?

And that I'm only looking to get less than 60% of its appraised value.

This used to be a decent forum, populated by decent people. Many years ago.

Sorry if I struck a nerve, but why not fix the $5.00 door pin and replace the 99-cent bungee cord? With all due respect, you are not asking a cheap price, even at "60% of the appraised value". Fix the little stuff - again, especially if it's really so minor  :coolgleamA:

Your car looks good in pics (didn't see a closeup of the peeling paint you mentioned though) and I'd actually be interested in buying your car - but not at the asking price implied. Anyways, here's to a deadbeat not screwing up your sale again - that has to be frustrating!

It wasn't the arrow which got the coin, it was that Hemi car with the elephant interior  :o

The "arrow" Charger is a $20k car, as evidenced by the supposed "bids" to upper 20's which never resulted in any "real" sale :Twocents:
There were pics of that engine bay, complete with a bungee cord holding the battery in place  :o
