Which car would you buy?

XS Vin tag rust bucket, no fender tag, no numbers on the trunk or radiator, no build sheet. Needs full restore. poor condition. $5800, bring a trailer, no motor or trans.

XP SE vin tag, rotisserie restored body with new paint, completely disassembled, in boxes. Rebuilt motor, rebuilt trans, rebuilt axle, new suspension parts, new front end parts, new brake system. Numbers match vin tag, fender tag, radiator support, trunk. No build sheet. Needs complete reassembly. $11,000, bring several trailers- it's in pieces. Oh, and It's an RT clone.

Trying for redemption after the earlier "clone" thread? :popcrn:

Nobody wants car #1 except to take the VIN tag and transfer it to another car, re-stamping the rest...  :flame:

That said, I'd buy #2, put it back together, sell for $$$$$, and buy an XS car ;)

I was going to add this to the end of that thread, but it seemed a little off topic. I was already scolded for getting off topic. :slap:

It seems like it would cost way more to get the XS rust bucket to the same place as the XP.

just reading the discription of the cars !! would say the XP SE car !! , but would give the XP car a good going over !! just because the seller says its been restored ,  don't mean its been done propperly !!  or should i say !! one mans restored car could be a Hlpag or BK special to another  :yesnod: (no offence if the seller is on this site )

I have already said "get the car as finished as you can" It will cost you 6k just for paint and body and that is doing much yourself, not to mention the time waisted restoring the project that you could have spent cruizing in the SE.  As stated before if you want an RT, put some badges and a stripe on it.  You realy don't have much more with the RT lacking its documentation :Twocents:
