Hi everybody.  I just got a 74 Dodge Charger SE with a 318.  It was in a field when I found it, but started up after a jump.  After a water pump, hoses, complete brake job, ect., it seems to be doing pretty good.  I've been wanting a Charger or Challenger for a long time, but didn't have much $ or that much car knowledge.  I bought it in part to learn how to work on cars...and it seems to be working.  It's already a lot of fun.  Just hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew in the long run!  We'll see.  Just wanted introduce myself...I'll be lurking...and maybe asking one or two dumb questions along the way.  Thanks!

Hi John!

If it drives, just focus on safety items that may need attention-brake hoses, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, etc. Then engine hoses/belts, all your lights etc. Spend time using the forum search, every issue you can imagine has been discussed at length here at one time or another.
