I wish, it was trial and error, mostly error.  :icon_smile_big:

I restored cars for a very long time so I know how to do fine work, but this was my very first woodworking project.  With the right tools, plenty planning and some patience, anyone can build a telecaster.  I picked the most basic design for a reason...well and I did want a tele so that worked out....

Well that's very inspirational, so I thought I'd give it a crack myself.
Is it close to your quality sensei?

Gotta love a '69

Dino

I didn't think you built that in a day, that'd be cool!  And a bit scary!  I think it took me the better part of a weekend just carving the neck.

Old machine guns, I think trigger time on the MG-42 is the highest money per minute shooting short of the M2. ;)

I just play World of Warcraft® all day, I'm a 6th level Slor!

He's me during the rectification of the Vuldrini, once I came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, I chose a new form: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Nice... I saw your movie on TV once.  With Bill Murray and Rick Moranis!    :nana:

I'm a lifelong sports addict... lots of golf (lots in the sense of # of swings/round, not rounds/year ;D), anything baseball, 10-pin bowling and...  curling.  Yup, curling... that'd be on real ICE people.  Anything tip-off Canadian with those at all?

I also do some home improvements and gardening to spend some time with my better half!  ;D

OK, maybe watching the odd reality TV show or two with her too!    :shruggy:    :hah:

Hmmm... Slor you say, eh?

I mentioned wood working as one of my hobbies. This is the oak chest with cedar inlay I built for my wife our first Christmas together. I designed it and even made the trim molding on it. Yes the three drawers are real. I wish I had more time to spend with my Dad in is wood working shop!

I've been building, tinkering and racing RC cars for 17+ odd years and finally giving it a break, getting into the planes a bit now.

Aside from that I enjoy 4 Wheeling, camping, old school BMX's, and generally making and modifying things....

Here's an old picture of one of my cars that I won the 2009 club championship season with...

I am helping my son with his new hobby of collecting movie props. He just started it a few months ago, so his collection is small, but it's a lot of fun. Especially when you can "screen match" your items to the actual ones used in the movie.

The missing "page 10" from True Lies.

bobs66440

Various items from Terminator 2 / Judgement Day including "bullet hits" and silver glove and sleeve made for the production for Robert Patrick as the T-1000 Terminator. Also a couple of parts from one of the endoskeletons made for the film.

bobs66440

The helmet used by Brett Cullen as "Barton Blaze" in Ghost Rider with Nicholas Cage. It was used in the death scene where he crashed his motorcycle jumping through a ring of fire in the beginning of the movie.

bobs66440

Costume worn by Tony Shalhub as "Jack Jeebs", the alien pawn shop owner in Men In Black.

bobs66440

Carved wooden (really styrofoam) boot sign used in the movie "Hook", with Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams.
