I haven't decoded the VIN (and have misplaced the paper I had it written on) so I have no idea what engine is in it, I'm assuming a 360. It's a 4x4 with an automatic. 1 ton with a winch and flatbed, and it has a whopping 8712 actual miles on it.

It's coming up on the auction block soon.

not sure what its worth but its cool...a local twp fire dept. had something similar and it sold for $3500  It had a alot of holes were the equipment was but was still cool in my book....

Good plow truck for a lot or shopping center.

You bidding?

Tilar

I havent decided yet. I really have no use for the truck, it would just be a novelty with the low mileage and the fact that I used to be a volunteer fireman on this department but that was years before this truck was bought new.

I'll probably go to the auction to see what happens with it and if it doesnt get very high I'll probably bid on it. I just don't want to see it given away real cheap. I know they would like to get at least $2500 out of it.

Well, I went to the auction yesterday, and watched this truck sell for $7500. I'd have never figured that it would go that high but I'm glad it didnt go for cheap. I was ready to bid it up to around $3500 but opening bid on it was $5000.  :2thumbs:

That's a lot of truck for that money with crazy low miles!  :2thumbs: Looked like a keeper!

wow thats good money..I guess its like getting a "new" truck....I was thinking how much people pay for our retired cruisers/retired city vehicles.....my last cruiser sold for $5500...it had 100K but had a new transmission.......it also came with enough dog hair to knit several sweaters.Im guessing they didnt smell inside before they bought it...if they only knew the history of my car....theres a reason it had a new transmission :whistling:

Wow, $7,500.  I was thinking you just might get it for $3500.  Some one must have had a pretty specific use for it.

It sold for $7500? I would have guessed at least 8-10k with that low of miles and as clean as it looks. If I had more garage space, I would love to have something like that. Even though I know my wife would hate it.

Seems like pretty good money IMO in this economy. I know it is low miles but that is getting up in nice 1st gen Cummins diesel pricing. It might not be the case with this truck but sometimes low mileage doesn't always mean it is in great mechanical shape. Years of sitting around isn't good for them either.

It was in perfect mechanical shape. The mileage works out to roughly 5 to 6 miles a week, and knowing the way this department works that is probably the way it ran up. When I was there, we used to wash the trucks at least every few weeks and run them down the road just to keep the battery up and everything in good working condition. Still had every piece on it that it came from mother mopar with. It had never had anything but a few oil changes.
