What's the battle plan after the show?  Has Optima asked to join their after show track day?

verticalflight

Not yet :)

But the plan is to finish the car over the next 3 weeks, in time for Thanksgiving.

There are still a lot of little odds and ends to complete, like side mirrors, front valence, carbon valve covers, etc.

Very well done Charger!!!!

I would like to inquire about your front seats with the integrated seat belt.

Are those completely custom made?  Who/where can I get a set of these for my resto-mod?

Thanks in advance.

For a suit, he's pretty cool.  Imo, he relates moreso to the working man.  He scored some points with me when he told Donald Trump on Twitter that he was full of shit.

Not normally a big fan of custom work on 1st 2nd or 3rd gen Chargers (especially 2nd) as I have always found them to be basically perfect as delivered but this is a project I look forward to seeing.  I too, fall on the side of liking the modern taillights.

What a great day at SEMA yesterday. the car was photographed lots of times. People were very excited about the front bumper and engine placement, the rear tail lights, and the interior.

MOPAR got some love!

Some pics from the day... the first is me with Dave Salvaggio the builder...

:2thumbs: Congrats, the car came out great

Wow, very nice. I've been keeping an eye on this but not commenting until finished. Just curious where the gas cap ended up being mounted? I like the tail lights but when I first saw them I thought 2012 "Charger" tail lights would have been cool too.

I wish I had your budget, and your team. Did you break $1 million? Don't answer that? You must have had quite a few sponsors for this, I bet.

verticalflight

Thanks guys...

The gas cap is in the trunk, will post final pictures soon.

The car still has a few weeks of work left. We are just finishing it up - adding side mirrors, finishing the trunk, doing the dyno, etc.

And don't remind me of the price!  :o :o :o :o :o

Those are from Ring Brothers. I have the polished ones on my 69. They look cool but are pricey.

I have the beard in the picture. The builder Dave is on the left.

So what's next?? The car isn't home yet. THe interior is now finished 100%, and is on its way back from Iowa to Milwaukee to have a few more weeks of fininshing touches. We want to get a photo shoot done too and then the final step will be TO DRIVE IT  :icon_smile_tongue:  :icon_smile_cool:
