CHARGER RELATED summer memory using one picture, what would it be??

Mine would have to be today.. A group of friends from South Shore Mopars (+1 Ford) met up.. Had breakfast, went on a nice back-road cruise, and they congregated in front of a car dealership that had just recently closed down... Took TONS of pictures, hung out, and had a great (casual) time!! When you come across a group of friends like this 'fun' can be doing nothing at all!!

Then, three of us headed to a location by a local pond for another short hang-out....

Which led to two of us heading to another spot... To chill out for a while...

Then home.. All in all a GREAT day and to me, the epitome of summer fun!!

What about you guys...   :popcrn:

Our summer hasn't started yet but very much looking forward to something called "Chryslers on the Murray"  (Murray being the River that divides Victoria and NSW) which is our biggest Mopar car show here in Victoria. They come from all around the country for the weekend so there's plenty to see and do.
So many mopars in the country I'm surprised there are any left in the USA!   :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

most of these pics are from my iphone, didn't take that many of the car this summer with my camera (which was a casualty in the accident but will be getting a new one).

modeling for a friend which happens every once in a while except this time with the Charger.

getting towed-

playing with mopar friends-

bittersweet-hate this happened, hate this happened to my car but glad to be alive with just fractures to the face, needing only one surgery, having all my teeth and no broken bones (but quite beat up). this wasn't just a small hit-this was getting plowed by a chevy dually going 70+ mph on the passenger side and that causing the car to also slam against a guard rail on the front. more pics and stuff in the thread i made regarding that.

So, when you're watching this, switch the video to 1080P (bottom right) and go Full Screen... pretty cool!!

Don't have a special summers "best".  Usually a good show or two.

Did get to cruise in a PRISTINE '61 Newport downtown Seattle on a warm Saturday night going to the Whiskey Bar on 2nd...

Summers "worst"... car fire on the '73.  Still fixing that.

I gave up on deadlines a few years ago. When it gets finished depends on some factors that haven't been decided on yet. I've been in contact with Smith Bros. Restoration about having them do some work for me, namely the steering column, interior and wiring. James Smith is down in LA right now doing stunt work on a Hollywood set (I didn't know he did that :o) so they haven't gotten back to me yet with a quote. I originally contacted them because around Memorial Day I herniated a disc in my lower back and was looking at farming some of the work out. My back feels good now but I'm still curious to find out what they would charge. It really helps my state of mind when I have some of the work farmed out on this project. Whenever I get discouraged and lose passion, having a pro do some of the work really gets me going again. Not sure why but I think it gets me past certain points I subconsciously view as insurmountable, from my limitations caused by either a lack of time or talent.

Best memory this year with the '69 was it's maiden voyage this year back around March. 3 generations of "Bill's" took the car out for an hour or so. Great feeling for sure.

Close second was having it featured in the Invitational Display at Carlisle.

Besides the new tires it's the way she arrived (the repro bias plys were over 15yrs old and the sidewall separated on a cruse). Lots of little things to do. Fix the radio, few bulbs and switches on the dash, go through the carb.

Bias plys are nice, unless you want to drive it.   :D

Looks like very minor things, at least you can enjoy the car why playing around with those issues, that's kinda what I'm doing as well.

What's the problem with the radio?  Had some experience with those not too long ago...

I did the tail light panel in textured semi-gloss black as original. I just prefer tail panels semi-gloss, not full gloss.  R/T stripe is gloss black TAPE STRIPE as original, not painted on. '70's had gloss black tape R/T stripes as well.
The V21 hood stripes originally would be black textured Organisol as well, I just chose to do it in paint & bury everything under clear for a seamless graphic. That's how I wanted it. On a modified car pretty much anything goes, it's all up to you.

Thanks Bill!  That's how ours sits right now with the flat black pain on the tail panel, so we'll most likely freshen that up but leave it simi-gloss.  already looked into the R/T stripe and plan to hit the hood gloss.  I like how you painted the vents on the hood around the windshield as well.  I see the NJ plates, we're in CT but Hope to visit Grandparents in Central NJ next summer!   :2thumbs:

Central NJ? Smack dab where I'm at.
BTW, not to hijack this thread at all, but in '69 that's how the V21 was painted. Here's a pic of an original car.
OK, now let's get back on topic!  :2thumbs:
