Has anyone ever made a grille for their charger? I'm thinking of building something along the lines of the factory for my 68 but a little different. The grille I have would be good for a parts grille at best, and I don't really feel like paying what they are selling for to replace it. Just curious, If you have any pics or input post away.   :coolgleamA:

If you've got the skills, i'd say go for it!  Why not? :2thumbs:

Lol, I don't know that I have the skills, But I just might be willing to give it a try. I was hoping someone had done this previously and I could see some ideas lol

I thought of running keystock across the openings in a contoured frame and taking a pic just to piss people off, lol.  I think it could be done, as long as it goes with the overall theme of the car.  You will no doubt get harped on a ton, but if you like it, it looks good, and fits the car I think it is fine....your car, you make the calls.  Definitely keep us posted on what you come up with, I'd like to see it.

There's a screwy-looking example floating around Ebay:

That's actually not that bad looking considering some of the other ill-attempts I've seen.
:Twocents:

You must have seen some pretty bad ones then. ;D

Seriously though, why screw with the car's design? It's not going to improve anything. Other than wheels and tires or paint I've never seen a design change on a second gen that has made it look better.

Well, As far as customizing the grille, has anyone ever took a 500 grille and made it set back like the factory 68 does? I did some searching and didn't really come up with anything.... I agree with you about the looks, but my car has a broken up 69 grille in it..... and nice 68 ones are real pricy.....

ACUDANUT

You could always put a 68 Coronet grill in it ??
