swaping out dash for new

hi everyone im entertaining the idea of removing the entire dash and console out of my 68 charger and replacing it with a 05 to 08 digital dash and console out of a newer dodge charger,i havnt taken any measurement to see if it would come close to fitting,has any one one here done it,how hard would it be,and does anyone have any pics. would love to see how it would look any info is good info thx everyone

Personally, the '68-'70 Rallye dash in Chargers are my favorite dash of all time....

It wouldn't come close to fitting so you'd have to do a lot of custom work.  It can be done but be prepared to spend lots of time and money on it.  If you really want something other than stock then you start by making templates out of posterboard and build up a dash and console out of mdf.  The actual gauges are a fairly easy transplant once you have a new dash to fit it in, electrical may be a different story.
