What do you put on gasket when installing fuel pump?

I am working on my 68 Charger 440 BB. I need to replace the fuel pump. Do you put anything on the gasket before putting the pump on? I don't remember....

I like using Permatex Hylamar. 

Or, you can use a simple RTV sealant on it.

i never have used anything, but i guess you can and it wont hurt. never had one leak there so i guess its up to the one doin the job.

Same here. Chrysler built millions of engines with just a gasket.

I like using spray hi tack on all flat gaskets. Let it tack up then stick it to one surface. The hi tack holds the gasket in place and I have never had a gasket leak.

I like using the orange hi-temp Permatex stuff....because it matches the orange on my 440....
