My first 70 Charger Movie.....

Dodge Don

I have never created a movie before however was inspired by fellow 70 owner Marcus Palner's drifting video...so my son and I mapped out a series of scenes/videos and went out on Monday afternoon shooting videos. Overlayed some music and it is not bad for a first attempt. Had no idea what I was doing but through alot of trial and error we figured it out.

Was going to do a bunch of full out brake stands/burnouts but right as we were about to start a cop car drove by and stopped....wondering what an 8 year old kid was doing on the side of the road with a camera and tripod while dear old dad was in the car....a little too obvious....so we had to bail.

I know it could be better but hey it was a first attempt.

Great video! :2thumbs: How did you mount the camera to outside of the car?

Great clip Don, Thanks for putting up the link. I like the on-board petrol cap and leaves at the side of the road shots. Keen to see some more, your car always looks great

After being on here for a while and seeing some of your earlier clips and others like Dans68 and a few of the other guys, I was impressed enough to give it a go and shot this shaky cell phone one of a ride home from car club meeting night in a mates 620hp Malibu. Just entry level stuff but will develop it further to edit and soundtrack.
Waiting for my car to get shipped here so I can do one of that  ;D

And, for what its worth , there was a vimeo clip on here a few months ago of retired teacher Marlowe Boyd and his original owner green 71 R/T, probably my favourite feel-good clip around

My apologies for the short hi-jack

Great video!  What kind of camera did you use.  I've been wanting to do more videos like this but need to get a better camera. Nice car and nice shop/garage!!

Looks beautiful up there this time of year.

Just a quick side question, where did you get your car show sign made up??  :scratchchin:

That was excellent!  Your video sums up my past weekend as that's pretty much all I did, driving around roads just like those.  It's hard to beat!

I like the way you had the camera mounted on the car, very nice.

Thanks guys.

I just used my everday digital camera attached to a device I bought off Amazon....it is a universal joint with a strong suction cup for mounting camera on flat surfaces. Worked well....except I forgot to secure the camera strap and some rear facing shots were pooched/unusable because the strap kept blowing into the lense.

The song is actually my brother's....used to be in a band but now they just jam for kicks and this was one of their latest creations. Got me around the copyright police at YouTube.

I had my show board made by a guy I found on EBAY that creates show signs.

:2thumbs:  good video, i liked it, needs some tire frying or action stuff... Still good though

Pretty dissapointing with no jumps over cop cars off a dirt ramp or crashes with a train or gas station, but it will do.
  Actually it was great. Nice job.

Your mini movie was great Don the song seamed to good with it too :2thumbs: next time when your shooting and the camera is sitting on the side of the road as you drive by
have the sound of your car in the video as you drive by the camera.
