Yesterday I decided to mount a set of vintage wheels and tires on my '66 Charger because I have been wanting to take some "vintage looking" pictures of my car.  My brother and I decided to drive down the road and shoot a few videos too.

Nice! Is that an instagram filter??

Yes, I've loved it ever since I found out about it!!  It saves sooo much time editing the pictures.

And here's the video I'm not so proud of.... but I had the save it anyways.  The first time I came around this corner, the slide was awesome... but it was spontaneous and my brother wasn't recording it.  Of course, the second time wasn't so graceful, as you can tell in the video.  The carb popped a couple times and I threw it into second.  When I did, it hooked and swerved to the right.  Luckily, I kept it somewhat under control.

No problem.  I have more pictures I'll post in a few.  I just love the old vintage stuff.... which is what prompted me to do the mini shoot.

Long story short... I usually run black wheels with dog dish caps.  Everyone tells me the car reminds them of an old moonshine car.  So the car kind of got the name "Moonrunner"... notice the tag.  So before it got too dark I took a few pictures with the moon in the background... how appropriate.

Love the pics and the "slots" on the car. Does give it an old school look !  My friend has the newer Ansen slots on his Chally and they are nice. Still thinking hard on putting them on my Charger for the "look" they give.

Very nice 1st Gen and pics.

Yeah, I hate that it did what it did, bit I'm very glad it wasn't worse. As soon as I felt it start to kick back the other way I got out of it and got on the brakes. It probably wouldn't have spun around like it did. The good thing about that road is, there is about 15-20 ft of grass on either side of the road.

Just pretend you meant to do it, YouTube is gullible enough to think you are a skilled stunt driver performing drifting 180s.

was it the iphone you used to record that? just curious, since you used instagram for the photos (which look cool). wonder if other people here have instagram to follow?

anyway, the videos are cool and the final one, just like it's been said-play it off like you're some hot shot stunt driver! it looks pretty slick and anyone would believe you were showing off, not panicked!

Thanks for the comments guys. I love the instgram ap on my iPhone, I just wish the resolution was better. Maybe it's just those particular filters though. The first two videos were shot with my brother Kodak digital camera. I forget which model. I edited those two videos on YouTube to give it an older look. The battery on my brothers camera died so we used my Nikon Coolpix camera for the wipeout video. I didn't edit this video though. I look forward to shooting more videos.

If you like the old look, there's another app for the iphone called "super8" I believe. Very cool little movie app that makes it look like you were filming on the old super 8 cameras.  :2thumbs:
