I've allways wanted a hemi but my budget would never allow for it. I found these on the net and sent them a e mail got a quote back about 7 grand to convert my 440 to a hemi .
the question is have any one here heard of them . think I might do it . if they make good parts.

Well, 7 grand later you still wont have a Hemi though

The Stage V folks have been around for a while now but I think more people opt for the Hemi crate engines.  7 grand is a lot cheaper than a crate but it stills seems that is what people prefer.  Stage V do a lot of aftermarket Hemi headwork for racing I thought, do any of your other contacts know more about them?

They do Stage V Hemi Head conversion for 361-383-400 B-Engines also, I know a guy who did it, he loved it but, I think he spent like $8k, I haven't talked to him in maybe 5 or 6 years now, It ran very well, parts looked professionally casted/machined & all the parts were of decent to great quality, his was the set up with a 2x4bbl intake on a 383 b-engine w/Stage V Hemi Conversion with a 440 crank so it was 426+ci, but if I remember correctly, there was some issues with rockers & push rods reliability though {oiling issues I think}, they could have fixed the issues by now I guess, also some valve shrouding that needed to be addressed....

remember reading many years ago !  a guy who was into mud bogging or tractor pulling  ,  was running a 400ci B motor with hemi heads ! cant recall if it was injected /blown or both  , but  he would run it on a percentage of  fuel  as well as just straight methanol  :scratchchin:
:shruggy:   was looking for the artical a while back for something else  , if & when i find it ! i'll post it here  :yesnod:

We've discussed those a lot over the years. I think they were probably a neat idea when Hemi blocks were rarer than hen's teeth. These days it just makes more sense to build a real one.
