i  just picked up a 440 weiand tunnel ram and six pack for my 69 charger. i was told it was a factory piece (besides the bird catcher) that was used for superstock racing in the 70's. does anyone know if this will clear a factory charger hood if i remove the the bird catcher?  :shruggy: any ideas on what factory cam was used with setup?

here are a couple pics of the Chrysler part numbers on the top and bottom of the intake manifold. i looked them up and found this site,
http://victorylibrary.com/mopar/weiand-c.htm
they talk alot about this intake and say  it (still clears hoods in the vehicles originally equipped with the 6 pack manifolds). i know a six pack was not an option for the charger in 69 but it was in 70, maybe they where talking about six pack cars with factory scoops like the a12 roadrunner :shruggy:

Rolling_Thunder

true -  it will fit under a 69.5 RR or Super Bee hood...      but not a factory charger hood.

It may have been available through Direct Connection (way before my time so i'm not sure) ---  all I know is that those intakes are pricy on Ebay   haha

Cool setup  :2thumbs:

Unfortunately it won't clear a factory Charger hood so you'll need a scoop installed to make it work.  :yesnod:

As for the cam ; most likely a long duration "cheater cam" to run in that class.
