Well, if the interior is original to the car it looks like a red interior column shift auto with AC.  At least it looks like the gear bump on the steering column and the patch in the floor for the 4spd.

I asked the owner for some more information regarding the "pedigree" of the car. As the dash shows A/C vents, and only a handful were made with A/C, a 383 4-bbl and 4-speed (in my experience), I think it not likely that it is an original 383 4-speed. It probably was a 318 beater. But it would be fun to thrash around, no doubt!
