does anyone have any info as far as dimensions or what material they were mad out of? i know nothing about them but im a fab guy so im thinking i can prolly make some up :)

I made my own...wasn't too tough. I measured off of several other cars, including some convertibles.
I used 16 gauge steel sheet. As far as dimensions, I don't have any.
But I can show you pictures...if you want them.
