The Cardinal's sure had a lot of help from the Braves going belly up this last month...10-1/2 games up in the wildcard standings over the Cards at the start of the month. Truly an amazing day of wildcard baseball yesterday! And you have to feel poorly for the Red Sox and amazed for the Rays.

i was pullin for the sox, but they self destructed just like the braves. and for tampa to come back from 7 runs down to win against the yanks was a feat in itself.

stoppin to get fish dinners at the local pub  before hittin the house so we can chow on fish and watch the game. halladay against carpenter. who could ask for a better pitching duel than that. if both guys are on their game tonight it should be a nail bitter.

The games tonight will be fun to watch - while I don't have a horse in the race I would like to see a Brewers/Cardinals NCLS. I don't care which of the remaining teams gets in the World Series, but only it be a National league team win (yes, I'm slightly biased  ). A repeat of the '68 World Series would be cool. Gibson and Kaline come to mind....
