This Weather is Just Plain Miserable

It's been raining here like almost every friggin' day for a month! Ever since Irene came through, we've been pretty much on a perpetual flood watch. My lawn is like a swamp. I have a tree that came down in Irene that I can't get removed because everything is so damned wet all the time. Forget about driving the Charger.  I think we've seen the sun only six days this month. Very depressing.

Anyway, rant over. I know a lot of people have it much worse. Sorry.

On the flip-side, it's a major drought here and we have oaks and pines dying all over the place...........  (Houston/Southeast Texas)

Hopefully the cold fronts will start pushing through and clearing everything out. And maybe, just maybe, bring us some rain..........

we have had that low stuck in the mid west. north got all the rain which i think was pushing it your way also. but down here in southern illinois we have been just south of the spin and have had beautiful weather. but a cold front is on the way tonight so we will see what happens. they say we might get some rain with it.

I'll agree, we don't need it. At least not until I'm finished with getting the new roof done on my house. I took this week off expecting to make good progress but I'm nowhere near getting half of it ripped off.

 Here in the real Midwest (KS,OK,MO and TX) it's Dust bowl city...Everything is dead and dry...ponds are dried up and the lakes are now ponds.

I heard we had 3/10 of an inch of rain for September in the Minneapolis, St. Paul area.  That's dry for us as we come into winter.

When is summer supposed to be here? Apparently it got canceled here in Oregon. Spring ended on July 20 and fall started on Aug. 1.
