All I can say is check it out really well. There has been some real horror stories on here with some GL builders. Be carefull.

I wouldn't buy a car from them without seriously checking them out firstly and knowing they know exactly what you want... The car on their pages looks good in photos but I don't think it's what they normally build. I inquired about having a car built from them and wanted to sell me one they already had for $40k. I have some photos from them and let me just say, I'm glad I walked from them.... They also have you tube videos of their General Lee's and their Kitt replicas.

I'm not saying they don't build nice cars as I've never seen one in person, just saying I saw enough in photos that concerned me.

My Charger is a 69 and doesn't have reflectors....

Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards required side markers or reflectors - you could not delete them from the factory.

Thats right then later in the series they deleted the side markers and reverse lights on all the Generals to keep them looking the same. They had to may complaints about the Generals being different in the early years of the show. I deleted my side markers and reverse lights on my General.

DON`T deal with them. Run, run away VERY FAST! They will take your money and you get nothing. At least HLPAG gave you something even if it was worthless. They are building junk again as well.(american classic muscle) STAY AWAY FROM THEM AS WELL. Best bet is to go look at the Charger you want and build it so you know what you have. Otherwise you will get raped!

Again, for the record I'm not saying they build bad cars but here are a few things that made me chose otherwise. Hopefully someone has had a good experience with them. Too many alarms for me.

I told them I wanted a "quality" car and had a budget to match and.........

This is the car they wanted to sell me instead of building a fresh one. In their defense they didn't build this car...

After I settled on different car from somewhere else I inquired with them about a properly done tan dash; That I didn't want a spray bombed dash and this is what they sent me 

I stopped communicating with them after that point and I got an email asking if I still wanted a car, after I said I bought one already they offered something like $1500 as a finders fee for referring someone to them......

They seemed like nice people, but not the sort of car/service I was after.....

Someone did one helluva job on that headliner. And now it would be a real joy to fix or replace it with the roll bar mashed up so tight against it.

Is it me or does it seem like GL buyers don't care as much about quality restorations as much as guys who buy "normal" Chargers? Seems like there are way more shoddy GL restorations out there, that or they are brought to our attention more often.

I think it depends, there seems to be both ends of the crowd... I agree with you completely that the quality of most GL's don't seem to be up to par with the normal charger crowd. On the other hand I have seen a few high quality examples on here. I'm a big believer that if it's to be done it at least has to be done right.  

I think most would agree the GL treatment technically should de-value a car but the attraction of the bright orange car brings good dollars for cars in rather poor condition. I still cant believe people would pay big dollars for a car sight unseen, and if anyone read even one of the horror stories it would surely make them think twice about handing over gobs of cash.

It was that car on the cover page and photos of it that attracted me to them in the first place, but I'm glad I researched further and got to see really what their work is like. 

My car isn't perfect but probably better then 90% of GL's. I'm a bit of a perfectionist but have come to realize that perfection isn't going to happen for me... Not unless I win the lottery
