Weren't the taller ones available as an option? Or, standard on SE cars??
I thought you could get either tall or short bumperettes in '69?  :scratchchin:

No option on size of your bumperettes....you get what you were born with ;)

I have the long ones but will likely swap them out for the short one, they just look better imo.

Can't speak for all of them, but my SE came with the short ones.

If I could find my short ones, I'd swap you.  How nice would a pair have to be to suit you?

There lies the issue.  The previous owner rechromed the bumpers but not the bumperettes.  They look more than decent but not as nice as the bumper which looks almost like new.  I would have to have a set that looks pretty much like new but it wouldn't be a fair trade as mine are not that good.

Dave, yours is actually 7/11/69......

7/18/69 was the last day of production for the '69 model year.

Did you mean the last scheduled production date used on tags / paperwork?

Ill rephrase that....the last date that I know of for the production of '69 Charger model year....

Closer?  I know there has to be a catch to your question Barry....spill it!!  ;)

Ther is no way to know if any car was actually built on its SPD. Hamtramck mixed them up a LOT. 3 weeks or so before or after the SPD in some cases & cars built very close together with VINs close to 30,000 numbers apart.

Starting late in the 1972 model year, the mylar door stickers had a MDH (Month, Day, Hour) code. Since this sticker was one of the last things that went on the car at the end of the assembly line, the 'real' build time was noted. There are some examples in the thread at the link above.
