Why wash at Washman?

1. No Brushes 100% Safe
Our system is even safer than hand washing. We entrust your car to a combination of computer controlled sprays and the gentleness of soft cloth for added shine! No dull finish & 100% safe... safer than hand washing!

I don't know about that. Many times I've taken my drivers through the car wash, and Washman is probably the best of the bunch, but I just don't see myself taking the Charger or a Ford GT, or any other collector car through the automatic car wash.

Do any of you take your collector cars to the car wash?

bobs66440

NEVER!!  :o  I'll take my every day car & truck through, but never the Charger.

Wait a minute....were suppose to wash are cars?  (Mine leaks too much to wash at all right now!   :o  )

kab69440

Sure would. If I had that much money, there wouldn't be much that couldn't be fixed.

I imagine most Ford GT owners have gone 6-7 years without washing theirs too. But when they do decide to wash them I bet they don't head straight to the autowash.

NEVER.  I worked at one of those "soft touch" car washes when I was younger.  Guess what we did on slow days......power-washed the dirt out of those blue cloth fingers!!  Ok for the everyday car, of course I am not driving a new Challenger either.

The last time I went to Washman in my 94 Dakota I pulled in behind a 2011 Challenger that was headed in. :slap:

My Charger has never been washed and never will if I own it.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I've never in all my days of motoring taken a car through a car wash. Not even a daily driver.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I agree
but I would not be surprised to see those go through , if you have enough $$ to buy them why not take it through having $$ has nothing to do with having brains

Hand washing only, I don't even trust those "detailer" wash mobs unless you want swirls in your paint.

My wife is the same, but the one time that she was in a hurry and took through the car wash it malfunctioned and the chemical burnt the paint. The car wash offered to "fix" it by hand buffing the car. Needless to say the paint came out reasonable but nowhere near the condition before.

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :eek2: :scared:

I couldn't imagine the hours of detailing after running one of the Chargers through one of those shredders.
I think I've washed my '68 three times in the 25 years I've owned it. Hand detailing & wet/damp cloth only.

I remember going to the car wash with a company vehicle, & some clown was there running his restored '55 Chevy through it. I just stared in disbelief.  :o

The only time I take my daily drivers to the car wash is during the winter months when it's too cold to wash them in the driveway. Then, every spring they get a full wash/detail/wax by hand to keep them looking nice again.

I've taken my new Challenger to the auto spa three times since I've owned it. Kinda expensive. I prefer to wash it by hand and do atleast once a week. Never would take the old car to one of those. I don't need water getting forced places it don't need being. These new cars are sealed much tighter than the oldies.

I have ran my daily driver through a auto wash but it still don't do a good job. I hand wash and wax my Charger every spring just use detailing and instant wax the rest of the year.
